My Book of the Year 2026
In uncertain times, with political tension, rapid advances in AI, a shifting job market, and a general sense that everything is moving faster, it’s easy to feel unteathered. Busy, but not always grounded. Productive, but not always fulfilled.
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about one simple idea: mattering.
Not success. Not status. Not optics.
Just the feeling that what you’re doing actually counts, and that you count too.
That’s why this year I chose the book Mattering by Jennifer Wallace.
It’s a powerful exploration of what it means to feel seen, valued, and significant in a world that constantly measures us by performance, output, and comparison.
The book isn’t about hustle or achievement. It’s how we find meaning, how we support one another, and how we stay connected to what really matters, especially in times of uncertainty and change.
I started using the phrase “Make It Matter” in my writings and my signature, and it’s become my mantra.
For me, it’s about being present. Being intentional. Making the most out of whatever you decide to do, whether it’s your work, your relationships, or your time.
Mattering captures that spirit beautifully.
In the work I’m doing now, I’m lucky to spend my days helping people and companies make sense of what’s next, finding purpose, direction, and a little bit of clarity in the middle of uncertainty.
